Hi, Hello.

Can I steal you for a second…

Hi, I’m Megan Felber — Lead Planner / Coordinator of The Soul Creative Group, based in Mankato, Minnesota! And kind of like on The Bachelor/Bachelorette, “Can I steal you for a second” is probably my most used phrase on a wedding day.

I’ve been part of the wedding industry since 2013, and if there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s this: weddings are about people first—not just timelines, tablescapes, or checklists (though I thrive off a checklist).

I started my career as a wedding photographer with Dinsmore Photography, where I learned how to anticipate moments before they happen and how powerful the smallest details can be. In 2017, I transitioned into the role of General Manager and Head of Events Planning & Coordination for The Capitol Room in St. Peter, MN. For nine years, I ran the venue while coordinating weddings—wearing all the hats, often at the same time.

And while I loved my job and the everyday hustle and bustle of the venue side of things, I realized I wanted to be more present. More involved. More connected to the couples I was serving.

That’s why The Soul Creative Group came to life—quietly in 2023 (with a friend asking me to do their wedding), and officially launched in January 2026. When it comes to big life decisions like this, I am not a jumper. I am a sit-down-and-process-things kind of person. After many conversations with friends and past couples, it finally felt like the right time and the perfect next step for me. The wedding side of Soul exists so I can focus fully on you. Not being pulled in eight different directions and not managing a building while organizing your wedding. Showing up with intention, calm energy, and years of experience to make your day feel exactly how you imagined.

I still wear many hats on an event day—but now they’re worn with purpose. I pride myself on being open, honest, and very real with my couples and clients because trust matters—and planning a wedding should never feel intimidating or transactional. I want to be the person anyone can come to—whether it’s for a timeline question, a deep breath and quiet moment to reset, or you need to get something off your chest. My favorite moment will forever be that final pause before the doors open—when everything goes still, the bride takes a breath, and she takes that first step towards her person. CHILLS.

When I’m not planning weddings and events, you’ll probably find me teaching a Pilates class with the Ember Wellness Studio, hanging out with my pets (Maui and Murphy), listening to a vinyl in my plant room, or reading a book with a coffee in hand. I am terrified of frogs and snakes, but I crave the outdoors and being anywhere near water.

I deeply value every relationship I’ve built over the last decade, and I know those connections (and experiences) shape everything I do moving forward. If you’re looking for a planner who cares just as much about how the day feels as how it looks, I’d love to be part of your story.
